What You Need for Your First Pediatric SLP Practicum

Hi speechies!

I started my very first clinical practicum this semester and WOO it has been a whirlwind in the best way! I have learned SO. MUCH. in such a short amount of time. There really is no comparison to hands on experience.

I put together a little packet of goodies to help my first experience in the clinic go as smoothly as possible and I figured since it has helped me so much that I should offer it to others!

This packet includes:
  • Site information sheet
  • Client information sheet
  • Weekly to do list
  • Notes + ideas sheet
  • SOAP notes template
  • IPA reference sheet
  • Speech sound acquisition reference sheet
  • SLP terminology reference sheet
  • Oral mech checklist
  • Clock hours tracking sheet
This packet has been such a hit at my clinic! My supervisor asked for a copy and a fellow SLP graduate student is loving her copy, too!

Keep in mind, this is the pediatric version. I start my adult practicums next year so that one will be up a little bit later this year or early next year.

If you want to get your own packet you can grab it in my TpT store by clicking here!

I will say - being in practicum makes grad school go by so much faster, and I love it so much more than just doing coursework. Go into your practicums with an open mind and a spongelike brain ready to soak everything in!

You've got this!
Love + light,
Jess
